    Room 1

    • A comfortable ground-floor twin room with a private bathroom and electric shower.

    Room 2

    • A welcoming first-floor room with a king-size bed and ensuite with electric shower.

    • A charming first-floor double room with an ensuite bathroom, bath, and over-bath shower.

    • Full payment is required at check in – either bank transfer or cash

    • Parking: Offstreet parking available for several cars

    • Fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine

    • Cookware, utensils, crockery, and glassware provided

    • Basic supplies: tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil & milk

    • Dishwasher with tablets supplied

    • Iron & ironing board

    • Three comfortable bedrooms, each with fresh linen and towels

    • Two shower rooms and one bathroom with a bath and over bath shower

    • Hairdryer in each bedroom

    • Space for a small child/baby (travel cot & high chair on request)

    • Central heating throughout

    • Hot water available at all times

    • Free WiFi across the whole house

    • Each bedroom has FreeView TV

    • Sitting Room has Virgin TV

    • Private, fully enclosed southwest facing patio with table and chairs

    • The property is cleaned before your arrival

    • £45 exit cleaning fee applies to wholehouse bookings

    • For longer stays, additional cleaning can be arranged on request

    • Easy walking distance to Saffron Walden town centre, Saffron Hall, and Audley End House

    • 5 minute drive (2.2 miles) to Audley End Railway Station (servicing London & Cambridge)

    • 6 miles from Quendon Hall

    • Easy access to Stansted Airport, Cambridge, Newmarket, Duxford, and London

    • No smoking inside the property

    • Please respect neighbours and keep noise to a minimum at night

    • Only registered guests may stay overnight

    • Please leave the house in a reasonable condition on departure

  • We are happy to welcome well behaved dogs to the Saffron Coach House on request. To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, please take note of the following guidelines:

    General

    • Dogs are only permitted for whole house bookings.

    • Only pre-approved dogs are permitted to stay.

    • A maximum of one dog per booking unless otherwise agreed in advance.

    • Dogs must be fully housetrained and over 12 months old.

    Inside the House

    • Dogs are not allowed on beds or furniture.

    • Do not leave dogs unattended in the house unless securely crated.

    • Any damage caused by pets will be charged at cost.

    Cleaning & Hygiene

    • Please bring your dog’s own bedding, towels, bowls, and toys.

    • Guests are responsible for cleaning up all dog mess inside and outside the property.

    • Additional cleaning may incur a fee if extra time is required.

    Outdoor Areas

    • Dogs must be kept under control at all times.

    • Please ensure the patio and surrounding areas are left clean and tidy.

Agnes, your host

Agnes was born and raised in Saffron Walden, and after spending several years living abroad in India and Budapest, she eventually returned to the town that means so much to her. Now raising her three young children here, she feels incredibly fortunate to share this beautiful corner of Essex with guests.

In 2025, Agnes took over Saffron Coach House and has brought fresh energy and warm, thoughtful hospitality to the property. Her time overseas shaped her appreciation for good hospitality and the comfort of feeling truly at home, no matter where you are. Agnes has poured that experience into creating a cosy, welcoming space for visitors to relax.

She loves recommending her favourite local walks, cafés, and hidden spots. Nothing makes her happier than knowing guests feel comfortable, cared for, and able to enjoy their stay in this lovely town.
